STEP SIX - Review and evaluate evidence
This
step involves a William Angliss assessor making a judgement about an
applicant's competency based on the evidence provided and the relevant
unit/s of competency.
The assessor will:
•
review the evidence and assess this against the elements, performance
criteria, range statement and evidence guide in the relevant units of
competency
• evaluate the evidence in terms of validity, consistency, currency, equity, authenticity and sufficiency
• consult and work with other staff and technical experts involved in the assessment process
• record details of evidence collected
• make an assessment decision as to the applicant's competence
• identify any gaps in competency and prepare a Training/Assessment Plan
