SRA Training Approaches

Once the applicant has submitted all evidence and the assessor has made a decision about the competency, there may be occasions where additional training is required to achieve competency.

Part of this revision process by the assessor is to identify any gaps in the applicant's skills and knowledge. This then forms the basis of a Training/Assessment Plan.

Applicants may have achieved competency in:

•  all of the performance criteria within a unit of competency

•  some of the performance criteria within a unit of competency

•  none of the performance criteria within a unit of competency

When requiring refresher training or training in a new area, a combination of the following techniques will be provided to applicants:-

•  on-the-job coaching and mentoring by a nominated senior manager

•  self-paced training through the use of comprehensive resources , which include training notes, reference materials and assessment tasks

•  attend formal training program at William Angliss Institute of TAFE, such as, Construct and Ticket Normal International Fares.
