Evaluating SRA Application
Who will evaluate my SRA Application?
Those involved in the evaluation and assessment of your SRA application will include:
• a formally qualified trainer and assessor a who is the content expert for the particular Unit/s of Competency in your application
• subject specialist as deemed necessary
• William Angliss SRA Coordinator
How will the evaluation be made?
The evaluation of your SRA application will be made against the requirements of the Unit/s of Competency.
The assessor will:
• review the evidence and assess this against the Elements, Performance Criteria, Range Statement and Evidence Guide in the relevant Units of Competency
• evaluate the evidence in terms of validity, consistency, currency, equity, authenticity and sufficiency
• consult and work with other staff and technical experts involved in the assessment process
• record details of evidence collected
• make an assessment decision as to the applicant's competence
How and when will I be informed of the result?
You will be informed in writing of the outcomes of the SRA assessment within 25 days of lodgement.
You will receive:
• results of competency in the units you selected
• a Training/Assessment Plan (where applicable)
What happens if I am unsuccessful in receiving competency for the Unit/s of Competency I apply for?
The purpose and aim of the SRA process is to work together with applicants to help them to achieve their desired training outcomes.
Part of the SRA evaluation process is to identify any gaps in participant's skills and knowledge.
Applicants may have achieved competency in:
• all of the performance criteria within a unit of competency
• some of the performance criteria within a unit of competency
• none of the performance criteria within a unit of competency
If you are assessed as being not yet competent in some or all units, we will provide you with a suggested Training/Assessment Plan and work with you to undertaken additional training and/or assessments where necessary.
